Green Skills 4 Youth
The Green Skills 4 Youth project is an initiative designed to equip young people with the knowledge, practical competencies and transferable skills required to participate successfully in Europe’s green transition. The project develops and pilots an integrated Green STEM Curriculum, combining environmental literacy with applied learning in areas such as renewable energy, circular economy, environmental monitoring, resource management and green-digital skills.
Alongside youth learning, the project strengthens educator capacity through professional development in inquiry-based and project-based Green STEM pedagogy. Young participants undertake mentored Green CREST research projects, developing systems thinking, leadership, communication, project-management, entrepreneurial and eco-innovation competencies.
Green Skills 4 Youth also includes transnational Green Innovation and Sustainable Development engagement tours, continuous monitoring and evaluation, and dissemination activities. These elements connect young people and educators with green industries, research institutions, public authorities and civil-society organisations, strengthening awareness of emerging green careers and supporting closer alignment between education and future labour-market needs.
SHIELD 2026
SHIELD 2026 (AI-Supported Intergenerational Model for Digital Scam Resilience) is designed to strengthen digital safety and behavioural resilience against online scams, particularly among older adults and d/Deaf individuals. The project responds to growing risks from phishing, impersonation, misinformation and other forms of digitally enabled manipulation through an inclusive combination of adult education, technology and intergenerational learning.
At its core, SHIELD 2026 will develop and validate a Digital Vulnerability Index (DVI), establish an intergenerational model in which trained individuals act as Digital Safety Facilitators, and create an AI-supported Educational Scenario Lab where learners can practise identifying and responding to realistic “Official vs Fake” scam scenarios. The project will undertake cross-country piloting and evaluation and produce a replication toolkit containing curricula, DVI instruments, Scenario Lab templates and an evaluation framework to support wider European adoption.
