The Grant Management Technical Assistance to the British Council project is a capacity-building initiative proposed by the University Vocational Awards Council (UVAC) to strengthen the capabilities of the Science, Technology and Innovation Funding Authority (STDF) in Egypt. The programme combines online training, a UK study tour, and face-to-face workshops to enhance expertise in grant management, research impact, commercialisation, monitoring and evaluation, AI-enabled grant administration, and international research collaboration. Drawing on UK higher education best practice and tailored to Egypt’s research and innovation priorities, the project aims to develop sustainable institutional capacity, strengthen grant governance and funding performance, and establish long-term knowledge exchange between UK and Egyptian research organisations.
